Shae Epps, LMT
About 2 years ago, I was driven by desperation into Dr. Bronson's office. I was suffering from a headache for 3 days. I had the headaches before, combined with dizziness. Miserable is the only way I can describe it!
I had experience chiropractic adjustments before, but with little success. I also had manual adjustments which were really rough and very painful. So, hesitantly, I made an appointment with Dr. Bronson, based on a recommendation from a friend. She could see me right away and I was very thankful.
After a consultaion and x-rays, I came back the following day for my first adjustment. Dr. Bronson was very detailed and the techniques that she used were very gentle. I had no pain during the adjustment. I felt relief within the next 30 minutes!
Dr. Bronson customized a treament plan for my specific spinal needs and I made appointments based on my Care Plan recommendations. My issues resolved in less than a month and I continued to fulfill my obligations as a dutiful patient. I just wanted to be better - for GOOD! After my Care Plan was complete, I continued to see Dr. Bronson one time per month for maintenance, or more if I needed.
When I decided to attend massage school in 2006, Dr. Bronson was my biggest supporter. I also found her to be a great mentor. She has so much knowledge and understands the importance of combining massage with chiropractic for maximum results.
Now, I work for Dr. Bronson and I am still her patient. People often ask me when they will feel relief. I tell them, "it all depends on you. Everyone is different. If you do not feel relief immediately, then give it 4-6 adjustments and you will. "
Patience is key with all treatments. Chiropractic, as with massage, treats the sources of pain - it DOES NOT MASK SYMPTOMS like drugs do. Sometimes there is discomfort as the body aligns itself properly, but usually no more than one would feel after a workout. The point is to not give up, be gentle with yourself and understand that it is a process!
I still have my days where my back will hurt or my head, but I have learned to be more concious of what I do, how I sleep, move and even eat. I know what my body will feel like if my bones are shifting out of alignment. You can bet I am on the table immediately when that happens.
Like with dentistry - PREVENTION, is at the heart of chiropractic. It is best to prevent the event than to deal with the cleanup!
Dr. Bronson helped me heal and finally find relief. I recommend her to everyone.
